After many rewarding years helping property investors arrange their buy-to-let mortgages, I wanted to share some personal news.

Many of you will know that last year I faced a significant health challenge. During a period when I was unable to work, Stuart, a buy-to-let mortgage specialist whom I’ve known and trusted for many years, stepped in to support my clients.

The feedback from clients was overwhelmingly positive. As Stuart and I already shared the same experienced administration team and a similar approach to client service, bringing our businesses together felt like a natural progression. For the past few months, I have been operating under AALTO Mortgages to ensure a smooth transition for everyone.

While I was fortunate to receive the all-clear following my treatment, recovery has taken longer than expected. Alongside this, the past year has also brought the loss of a close friend and, more recently, a sudden family bereavement.

These events have led my wife and me to reassess our priorities. She has decided to finish work because, as she says, “life is too short”, and I have made the decision to retire and begin this next chapter alongside her.

I would like to sincerely thank you for your support, loyalty and trust over the years. It has been a privilege to help you build and finance your property portfolios, and I am truly grateful for the relationships we have built together.
